Educating the Youth One Step at a Time
Here at One Step Ahead, we are driven by a single goal; to raise awareness about under-advocated diseases that are potent but unfortunately not given the attention they should be getting. Through real-life events filled with games and trivia, and social media, we look to enlighten the youth of these unknown dangers; we hope to teach them the symptoms of these diseases to allow for them to recognize the danger beforehand, and precautionary steps they can take to protect themselves.
DANGEROUS LEVELS OF CHOLESTEROL
Educating young minds about the dangers of cholesterol, the team had a lot of fun interacting with the kids and running the event. The kids had plenty of fun learning about the dangers of high cholesterol and how to avoid it.

Young children learned about the importance of brushing their teeth and maintaining healthy habits throughout their lives to keep their teeth clean and shiny. The children loved the experiment and loved learning about their own teeth, interacting with our own members to create a life-changing experience.

PNEUMONIA EVENT
In this event, the children learned of the dangers that pneumonia can pose to your body and they learned some common symptoms, enabling them to spot the condition in their own lives. A presentation and experiment reinforced and emphasized the devastating effects pneumonia has on the body. Finally, the children's comprehension of common preventions and remedies for pneumonia was tested and developed through a game.
